AG2R La Mondiale Releases Squad for 2018 Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race



The AG2R La Mondiale cycling team has officially announced the seven-man squad they will be taking to the 2018 Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race.

The WorldTour team which is based in France will be bringing three French riders, comprised of Mickael Cherel, Nans Peters, and flourishing young rider Pierre Latour, who won the 2017 French Time Trial Championships and finished 6th in the Best Young Rider classification at the 2017 Tour de France.

AG2R La Mondiale will also be bringing Nico Denz, Matteo Montaguti, veteran one-day specialist Stijn Vandenbergh, and experienced all-rounder Ben Gastauer, who has been with the AG2R La Mondiale team since 2009.

The AG2R team currently has seven riders racing in the Santos Tour Down Under after finishing the 2017 season ranked 9th out of 18 teams in the overall team rankings on the WorldTour.

Pierre Latour, who will be racing for AG2R La Mondiale at the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race, is currently the team's top rider after 5 stages at the Santos Tour Down Under, sitting in 11th place in the general classification standings.
